No. 10 LSU rebounded from its first loss under coach Lane Kiffin, beating No. 23 Texas A&M 35-6. The Tigers dominated after halftime; Sam Leavitt played through an ankle injury, and backup quarterback Landen Clark scored two rushing touchdowns.
LSU extended its lead four minutes into the second half when, after forcing a three-and-out, Leavitt faked a run and threw to Jackson Harris for a 57-yard touchdown. Texas A&M then turned the ball over on downs, and none of its remaining drives lasted more than six plays.
Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed completed 10 of 26 passes for 106 yards, with no touchdowns and one interception. Kiffin called LSU’s victory “a really good rebound” after a loss to Ole Miss that the Tigers felt they could have won.
