Dozier’s BBQ plans a second brick-and-mortar site in Needville, co-owner Tyler Risinger announced Saturday. It will be in the original Pier 36 building, where he said he began working in restaurants; no opening date has been announced.
Risinger’s great-grandfather, Ed Dozier, founded the barbecue business in 1957. It closed in 2024 during its 67th year, and Risinger took it over in July, four months after the shutdown.
Risinger and co-owner Keith Brochhausen expanded Dozier’s into downtown Houston food hall The Finn in late 2025. They also operated 2-M’s Malt N Burger Mart in Rosenberg, which closed permanently Sept. 15 after the owners announced its closure the previous month.
