Dominique Leh debuted this week as a FOX 7 Austin reporter after leaving Waco's KXXV in August, where she had worked for more than three years. Her exit came amid E.W. Scripps layoffs affecting about 200 local-TV employees, though any connection is unclear.
Scripps' local-TV layoffs affected roughly 200 workers. KXXV reporter Bobby Poitevant was among those whose positions were eliminated, and Scripps-owned KRIS 6 in Corpus Christi was also affected. Chron said it had reached out to Leh for comment.
Leh joined KXXV in August 2023. When she announced her departure, she said Waco had become home and thanked the community; in a post about the Austin job, she said she was excited to serve the city and planned to visit Waco.
