Discord says FanDuel and daily fantasy sports ads are intended for adults, with age signals used to exclude teens. It has fixed two bugs in its age-assurance rollout, including one that blocked verified adults from age-restricted servers.
Discord told GameSpot that its policies still prohibit ads for traditional real-money gaming, including casinos and sportsbooks. The other bug it says it fixed appeared to prevent Discord accounts and verification levels from syncing across devices.
Users can hide the “Real Money Gaming” topic under Account Settings > Data & Privacy > Sponsored Content. Discord’s tooltip says hiding a topic stops sponsored content from it, though the company’s ad policy can still control some content regardless of those selections.
