Sport1 reports Nike is set to pay Germany’s Football Association more than €100 million a year—roughly twice Adidas’ annual payment—under an eight-year deal starting Jan. 1, 2027. Nike will replace Adidas as the national team’s kit supplier.
The change ends Adidas’ more than 70-year partnership with the DFB. Nike will also replace Marc O’Polo as Germany’s official clothing partner from 2027. The Nike partnership has drawn widespread criticism, particularly over national identity.
Germany’s final two matches in Adidas kits are scheduled for Nov. 13 against Serbia and Nov. 16 against the Netherlands, closing its UEFA Nations League group-stage schedule. The team will wear a special black-and-gold farewell kit.
