The No. 5 Boston Red Sox will face the No. 4 New York Yankees in a best-of-three 2026 AL Wild Card series in New York, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 29. NBC will televise each game and Peacock will stream them; start times have not been announced.
Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 30, and Game 3, if necessary, for Thursday, Oct. 1. ESPN Radio will carry the games through local affiliates, SiriusXM and iHeartRadio.
The series is a rematch of the 2025 Wild Card. The Yankees won the 2026 regular-season series 7-6. Boston's Willson Contreras is a question mark after a hit-by-pitch hand injury, while Payton Tolle is likely to start Game 1 or 2.
