Meta AI chief Alexandr Wang’s meme-heavy Muse posts have drawn viral attention; analyst Dan Ives called him “a special one.” Ives said Wang’s X banter reflects Meta’s culture and acquisition strategy, and argued big tech needs an entrepreneurial spirit to compete in AI.
Launched Sept. 8, Muse is a personal AI agent intended for everyday tasks such as booking travel, managing email, finding deals and organizing schedules. Mark Zuckerberg also unveiled Muse Charm, a handheld device that provides access to Muse through a screen, camera, microphones and fingerprint sensor without requiring users to unlock their phones.
Wang’s posts highlighted Muse’s real-time video chat and an avatar that speaks with its real-time voice. He said the model’s generated content is watermarked as AI without added latency.
