After a month with Google’s Pixel 11 Pro XL, an Android Central reviewer found it improved on predecessors, with a tougher build, day-plus battery and polished software, but unreliable connections and cameras that struggled with product photos in poor light.
The reviewer still got plenty of good photos, but found product shots in questionable lighting took more effort and fell short on quality; Chinese flagship phones performed better in this area. The Pixel often showed LTE where the reviewer had previously received 5G and sometimes disconnected from the home network. They said those issues should not occur on a $1,199 phone.
The 5,115mAh battery lasted a full day and a little more, including while traveling and on days with hundreds of photos; a full charge took about an hour. The reviewer also valued native Qi 2.2 charging without a case and Android 17’s clean, customizable interface, especially Gboard’s Rambler feature, while saying most AI additions were easy to ignore. More than a dozen drops left visible marks on the mid-frame and minor scratching at one screen edge, though the reviewer reported the front and rear glass unharmed. They recommend it as an upgrade from older phones.
