A review of XGIMI’s $1,699 MIRA ultra-short-throw projector found vivid RGB-laser color, strong dark-scene contrast and responsive gaming. Its 4K UHD image is produced by pixel shifting from a 1080p DLP chip, not a native 4K panel.
XGIMI rates the MIRA at up to 2,000 ISO lumens. The reviewer measured 1,407 ANSI lumens in Standard mode and 1,322 in Movie mode; High Performance mode reached 2,228 ANSI lumens but had noticeable fan noise and a green tint. Movie-mode sequential contrast measured 1,977:1. With Dynamic Black Level Enhancement enabled, dynamic contrast measured above 28,000:1, compared with XGIMI’s claim of up to 20,000:1.
The reviewer measured HDR color coverage at 96.55% of BT.2020. The MIRA runs Google TV and supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 3D and VRR at up to 240Hz at 1080p. For frequent daytime viewing, the review recommends pairing it with an ALR or CLR screen. XGIMI said a MIRA Pro with the same platform and brightness of up to 3,000 ISO lumens was coming later in September.
