Florida State linebacker Chris Jones left against Central Arkansas after appearing to hurt his left leg, but returned for FSU’s next defensive possession. He had three tackles before leaving; the apparent injury came with 12:27 left in the third quarter, as FSU led 24-7.
Jones went down after becoming tangled with a teammate, appeared to hurt his left leg and struggled to put weight on it before being carried to the sideline medical tent.
Jones entered the game with 21 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss and had started all four games. FSU’s linebacker depth is also depleted: freshmen Izayia Williams and Daylen Green are out for the season, and coach Mike Norvell said Blake Nichelson will miss an “extended period of time.”
