Fritz twice reached match point in the 10-point deciding tiebreak: Alcaraz saved the first with an ace, then double-faulted to face a second. He survived a long rally and sealed the win with a drop shot that Fritz returned into the net. The victory avenged Alcaraz’s loss to Fritz at last year’s Laver Cup.
