The Chargers elevated tight end Patrick Herbert, Justin Herbert’s younger brother, from the practice squad for Sunday’s game at Buffalo. Injuries have ruled out David Njoku and Charlie Kolar, opening a chance for Patrick to make his NFL debut.
Herbert is expected to slot behind Orande Gadsden and Hayden Rucci. He played 43 games at Oregon from 2019 to 2024, catching 31 passes for 388 yards and four touchdowns, then went undrafted in 2025 and spent last season on Jacksonville’s practice squad.
