Alleigha Botner, Caleb Flynn’s mistress, testified at his Ohio murder trial that she visited his slain wife Ashley’s parents the morning after the killing and suspected Flynn. She said he told her, “It didn’t happen the way we thought it would, did it?”
Botner testified that she and Flynn had an affair for nearly two years and read texts in which they each said, on separate occasions, that they wanted Ashley dead and insulted her. She said hours before the killing, Flynn told her he was leaving Ashley and “choosing” her. Flynn has pleaded not guilty to murder, aggravated murder, felonious assault, tampering with evidence and witness intimidation; he claims an intruder broke into the home and killed Ashley.
