The Browns will be without cornerback Tyson Campbell for their Week 3 game against Carolina; safety Grant Delpit is active. Mekhi Blackmon is expected to start opposite Denzel Ward. Panthers receiver Xavier Legette is out, while Jalen Coker is active.
Cleveland’s other inactives are quarterback Taylen Green (third QB), guard Teven Jenkins, center Parker Brailsford and linebacker Justin Jefferson. Carolina’s other inactives are tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders, emergency third quarterback Haynes King, safety Nick Scott, linebacker Devin Lloyd, offensive tackle Albert Reese and defensive tackle Cam Jackson. Lloyd had already been ruled out; the article calls him the Panthers’ biggest loss.
Campbell had been listed as questionable after leaving several times during the previous game because of injuries; the Browns cited ankle, hip and knee issues. Delpit was also questionable with a shoulder injury before being listed active.
