Atlanta beat Green Bay 35-14 on Thursday, giving the Packers their first home-opener loss since 2012. Green Bay managed 17 yards on eight rushes as Jordan Love threw 53 passes; Bijan Robinson and Drake London combined for 407 yards of offense.
The loss left Green Bay 1-7 over its last eight games. Atlanta quarterback Michael Penix Jr. made his first start since tearing his ACL last season. Green Bay’s defense had led the NFL in yards per carry allowed through two weeks, but Atlanta’s outside-zone runs punished its overpursuit; the Falcons reached the red zone five times, and a Packers kick was blocked.
