LeBron James said an afternoon golfing with his son Bronny nearly brought him to tears because he never had similar father-son moments growing up. He shared photos and video of the outing on Instagram and wrote that he loves being a dad.
James said he grew up without his biological father as a consistent presence; he and his mother frequently moved before finding a stable home.
Their basketball careers have since taken separate paths: James left the Lakers after eight seasons and signed with the 76ers this offseason, while Bronny remains with the Lakers after his second season. In 2024, they became the first father and son to play together in an NBA game, taking the court for the Lakers.
