Asaf Chopurov joins UFC with 11-0 pro and 34-1 amateur records

UFC has signed Azerbaijani bantamweight Asaf Chopurov, who is 11-0 as a pro and 34-1 as an amateur. Ten of his 11 pro victories have come by finish, and he is expected to debut against Colby Thicknesse at UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi on Oct. 24.
Chopurov trains with UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan, who is set to defend his title against Merab Dvalishvili in a trilogy bout on the same card. Chopurov won the vacant UAE Warriors bantamweight title last year and has defended it twice.
