Adam Brody told GQ on Sept. 25 that George W. Bush was more civil and honorable than Donald Trump, but not “sharp”; he also disagreed with Bush’s politics. Brody said the Bush-Gore election marked his political awakening, with 9/11 occurring eight months later.
Recalling 9/11, Brody said he thought it was “not so good to have a moron in charge.” He described it as a bad event under a bad leader and said, “We’re still paying for that 25 years later.”
Brody called Trump’s first election “inconceivable” and said it woke people up; he cited extensive activism, including people running for office for the first time. He said it felt safe to speak out against Trump during his first presidency and that he felt most of the country opposed him right away.
