A forthcoming biography says Gisele Bündchen gave Tom Brady a handwritten letter after the Patriots’ 2018 Super Bowl loss, telling him their marriage was not working and asking for more of his time, attention and help with their children. They divorced in 2022.
Lars Anderson’s forthcoming biography, Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness, is scheduled for Sept. 29. It says the couple later attended counseling and that Brady kept the letter in a drawer and returned to it; neither has publicly addressed Anderson’s account of the letter.
According to The New York Post’s account of the book, Brady used an excused 11-day absence from Buccaneers training camp in August 2022 to meet with Bündchen as he tried to repair the relationship. They announced their divorce that October; Bündchen said they had grown apart, and the two agreed to joint custody of Benjamin and Vivian.
