Grayscale’s Zcash ETF had more than $915.1 million in assets on Sept. 22, less than a month after its Aug. 25 listing. The fund’s growth largely reflected ZEC’s 203% rise this year, alongside more than $233 million in net inflows by Sept. 18.
The fund held 596,269 ZEC, nearly 3.5% of the coin’s circulating supply; ETF shareholders cannot use Zcash’s privacy features for those holdings. The Motley Fool author recommends buying ZEC and notes the ETF charges a 2.5% annual fee.
