The Yankees host the Red Sox in a best-of-three AL Wild Card series Sept. 29-30 at Yankee Stadium; Games 1 and 2 start at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. A deciding Game 3, if needed, is set for Oct. 1 at 7 or 8 p.m.; fans can stream all games on DIRECTV, fubo and Peacock.
The Oct. 1 start time depends on how many of the four Wild Card series require a Game 3. If all four go to a third game, Yankees-Red Sox Game 3 will start at the same time as Games 1 and 2. DIRECTV and fubo offer free trials to new subscribers.
The series winner will meet top-seeded Tampa Bay in the Division Series. Yankees slugger Aaron Judge, who has been out with a calf strain, may not play. Boston's Willson Contreras led the team with a .905 OPS, 27 home runs and 81 RBIs during the regular season.
