Donald and Melania Trump hosted a White House state dinner Thursday for Chinese President Xi Jinping. Guests included Elon Musk, Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison, Sam Altman, Tim Cook, Jensen Huang, and Fox News hosts Jesse Watters, Laura Ingraham and Bret Baier.
The White House guest list also named Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon's Jeff Bezos, Google co-founder Sergey Brin and CEO Sundar Pichai, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, OpenAI president Greg Brockman and TikTok investor Jeff Yass. Photos showed Musk seated at the head table with Trump and Xi, alongside Huang and Cook.
Ellison attended days after Paramount Skydance reached a settlement to clear its takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery, which includes CNN. CNN reporters were denied access to the dinner despite a federal judge having reinstated their press passes to the White House complex. Earlier in the week, reports said Ellison may ask Musk to invest in Paramount as part of the takeover.
