Alleigha Botner testified in Caleb Flynn’s Ohio murder trial that texts she attributed to him said he wanted his wife, Ashley, “gone.” She said he replied “That makes two of us” to her message, “I want to kill her.” Flynn has pleaded not guilty.
Ashley Flynn, 37, was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds on Feb. 16 at the Tipp City home she shared with Caleb; their daughters, then 9 and 11, were asleep. Caleb had called 911, saying someone had broken into the home and killed his wife. He was arrested three days later and charged with murder, two counts of felonious assault and two counts of tampering with evidence.
Botner said she met Flynn in 2022 while interning at their church and began a romantic relationship with him in May 2024, although she knew he was married. She said they discussed a future together through Feb. 15, the day before Ashley died; Botner read messages from that date in which she said Flynn told her he loved her and chose her.
