Melody Morris was voted out of “Big Brother 28” on Sept. 23 in the “Egyptian Eviction” twist. She says missing the usual live interview with Julie Chen Moonves helped her process the upset, though she was disappointed not to get the audience debrief.
The twist began when Survivor alum Rick Devens pressed a red button to claim $10,000, triggering a three-day countdown. Devens later became Head of Household and nominated Morris and Drew Campbell. After Campbell won the Power of Veto and saved himself, Devens named Taylor Brown as the replacement nominee. Morris’s eviction left Campbell, Brown, Devens and Survivor winner Dee Valladares as the final four.
Morris said reading people and the room helped her game more than competition wins. After much of the season without a win, she earned two: a BB Blockbuster victory and Head of Household during Double Eviction Week. Campbell was her closest ally, though they often disagreed about strategy. She said she told him around week four that she was a corporate game show host, but kept it from the other houseguests.
