Taylor Gordon's 25th-minute goal gave No. 14 Wisconsin a 1-0 win over Maryland, extending the Terps' Big Ten scoreless run to four games. Maryland's late chances were stopped or went wide.
Midfielder Ellie Egeland made her first appearance of the season after missing the first nine games with an injury. She nearly scored in both halves, but Wisconsin goalkeeper Drew Stover saved her close-range attempt and her second effort went just over the bar. Maryland leading scorer Jolie Farmer started after an injury but had no shots in 57 minutes.
Maryland's next game is Sunday against No. 21 UCLA, the final match of its three-game homestand. The Terps then travel to face Minnesota.
