SB Nation

Wisconsin erased a 17-0 deficit to beat Penn State 24-20, taking its first lead on Colton Joseph’s 72-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Harris with just over a minute left. The defeat left the 10-point-favorite Nittany Lions 3-1 after their only Power 4 matchup so far.

Josiah Zayas returned a Colton Joseph interception 49 yards for a touchdown, and Rocco Becht ran for a 3-yard score as Penn State built its 17-0 lead. Wisconsin cut the margin to 17-7 by halftime and trailed 20-10 entering the fourth quarter.

Penn State totaled 233 yards despite a plus-two turnover margin; Becht completed 41% of his passes. The writer said Penn State must quickly adapt to playing without Koby Howard but did not explain his absence.
