White Sox beat Royals 9-1 after Dobnak is pulled in second

The Kansas City Royals lost 9-1 to the Chicago White Sox on Thursday, scoring only on Salvador Perez’s 20th homer. Starter Randy Dobnak was pulled in the second inning after allowing six runs (four earned) and making two throwing errors.

Chicago starter David Sandlin limited Kansas City to one earned run over six innings, allowing five hits and a walk while striking out seven. Perez’s homer was his 10th season with at least 20 home runs, extending his Royals record.
