Texas coach Steve Sarkisian says security measures during Donald Trump’s visit to Saturday’s game at Tennessee can cut communication whenever the president enters, leaves or moves around the stadium, interrupting coaches’ headsets and coach-to-player links.
Sarkisian said he experienced the disruption as Alabama’s offensive coordinator when Trump attended the 2019 Alabama-LSU game in Tuscaloosa. He said Texas needs a plan because communication can stop without warning.
No. 1 Texas visits No. 14 Tennessee in Knoxville on Saturday. Kickoff is noon Eastern (11 a.m. Central, 9 a.m. Pacific), and ABC will televise the game.
