Webull’s Thai subsidiary completed its purchase of about 99.36% of Pi Securities on Aug. 31 for roughly $100 million, after regulatory approval. Webull aims for the combined Thai business to hold THB 200 billion in customer assets, but gave no deadline.

Pi Securities has operated for more than 50 years and regularly ranks among TFEX’s top five by trading volume. Webull says its technology and AI tools could help scale Pi’s research and advisory teams, but the firms will initially keep separate brands. The announcement disclosed neither current combined customer assets nor a deadline for reaching THB 200 billion.

Webull reported second-quarter revenue of $198.8 million, up 51% year over year, and net income of $24.4 million versus a $28.3 million loss a year earlier. Trading-related revenue accounted for $147.7 million of the total. Management credited the June 4, 2026, removal of the Pattern Day Trader Rule for part of the record trading-volume surge; funded accounts grew 8% and net deposits 7%.
