Washington center Landen Hatchett was downgraded from questionable to doubtful Friday for Saturday’s Big Ten opener against Minnesota. Kolt Dieterich is likely to start at center when the Huskies host the Gophers in Seattle at 8 p.m. PT.
Washington’s likely starting line is Kodi Greene at left tackle, John Mills at left guard, Dieterich at center, Geirean Hatchett at right guard and Drew Azzopardi at right tackle. It is expected to block for a depleted backfield, with Brian Bonner and Trey Cooley splitting reps and Ansu Sanoe in goal-line packages.
Hatchett has been out with a wrist injury he suffered last season. Coach Jedd Fisch said Thursday that Hatchett had practiced more than at any point in the season to that date. The Friday report also upgraded defensive lineman DeSean Watts from questionable to probable.
