The UK is assessing Palantir’s NHS data-platform contract, worth up to £330 million over seven years; its initial three-year term ends Feb. 15, 2027. Lawmakers and activists urge the government to trigger the break clause, putting Palantir’s overseas expansion in focus.
The NHS awarded the deal in 2023 to a consortium led by Palantir; it could cover up to 240 NHS organizations. The contract has drawn questions over privacy, public trust, data sovereignty and reliance on a US IT company. A UK parliamentary committee recommended using the break clause and considering alternatives.
In the second quarter, Palantir’s U.S. government revenue rose 90% year over year to $809 million, and U.S. commercial revenue grew 149% to $764 million. The company raised its 2026 revenue outlook to roughly $8.15 billion. Separately, five British police agencies opted not to renew a two-year Palantir experiment, citing financial constraints and doubts about its merits, the Financial Times reported.
