Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said inviting Vladimir Putin to the December G20 meeting in Miami could encourage Russia to continue its aggression against Ukraine. He said he would support the invitation if it could bring a just peace.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he hoped Putin would accept the invitation, which he said would give Putin a chance to engage with President Donald Trump and other world leaders. The Kremlin said Russia would consider the invitation.
