The agenda lists afternoon panels but no speakers. Invitation materials say Horizon Events exclusively sponsors a dinner and afterparty, which are not official White House functions and will not use government funds.
Two sources familiar with the matter, speaking anonymously, told CBS that Trump is expected to meet that day with House Speaker Mike Johnson and tech CEOs. The event comes amid debate over AI safeguards: Anthropic and OpenAI executives have called for limits on the pace of development, while Nvidia’s Huang has argued some warnings are overblown. Trump has warned restrictions on U.S. companies could give China the lead; an executive order lets companies voluntarily submit powerful new AI models to the federal government for review before public release.
