The Isle of Man’s 2026 general election sent 15 newcomers into the 24-seat House of Keys; three serving ministers—Tim Johnston, Daphne Caine and Clare Barber—lost their seats. At 18, Daniel Davison became the youngest person ever elected to the assembly.
Also not re-elected were former ministers Michelle Haywood and Lawrie Hooper, former education minister and deputy speaker Ann Corlett, and Julie Edge. Chief Minister Alfred Cannan and Deputy Chief Minister Jane Poole-Wilson kept their seats.
The elected MHKs are due to be sworn in on Tuesday by the first and second deemsters. The House of Keys will meet on 13 October to nominate a chief minister and speaker.
