Tony Ferguson says he showed Arman Tsarukyan the elbow Tsarukyan used to knock out Mauricio Ruffy in UFC 331’s lightweight co-main event in Los Angeles. Tsarukyan landed it late in the opening round after struggling in the fight.
Ferguson told Fred Talks Fighting that he showed Tsarukyan the elbow in Thailand during their Hype Fighting days. Ferguson said he had learned the technique from a friend at Reign Training Center.
Ferguson is set to defend his Misfits middleweight title against Mahmoud “Prince of Egypt” Sebie in Miami this weekend, on the Cejudo vs. Walton card on DAZN. Tsarukyan is expected to fight for the UFC lightweight title in early 2027.
