Jordan Kinsey, Yoli Zepeda and Alyjah Malacara were taken into custody after Kinsey fled police in a car stolen in a Boise carjacking; officers recovered a firearm reported stolen in Ada County. Kinsey faces felony and misdemeanor charges; his passengers face misdemeanors.
Police charged Kinsey with felony possession of a stolen vehicle and being a felon in possession of a firearm, plus misdemeanor eluding, resisting and obstructing, and driving without privileges. Zepeda and Malacara were each charged with misdemeanor resisting and obstructing. Wilder Police said a Greenleaf license-plate reader detected the car at about 11:14 p.m. on Sept. 22, after it had passed a reader in Caldwell. The chase went south on Highway 95 through Homedale and ended on South Main Street, where the occupants ran from the car.
IDOC records cited in the report listed Kinsey at Owyhee County Jail and under supervision through District 4 in Boise on Sept. 24. They show an active Ada County probation sentence for controlled-substance possession; Kinsey was released to supervision on Sept. 10, 12 days before the pursuit, and the sentence satisfaction date is Sept. 9, 2031. The records do not say whether the latest arrest resulted in a separate probation proceeding.
