Taylor Swift enters the Sept. 27, 2026, VMAs tied with Beyoncé as the most-awarded musician, with 30 wins each. She has 11 nominations and is set to receive the inaugural Artist Director Honors; if she wins another award, she will hold the record outright.
Swift’s 11 nominations include Best Direction for “Opalite”; “The Fate of Ophelia” received seven, including Video of the Year and Best Pop. The new Artist Director Honors recognizes artists whose work behind the camera has expanded music-video storytelling, according to its description.
At the 2024 VMAs, “Fortnight,” featuring Post Malone, won five awards, including Video of the Year—Swift’s fifth win in the category and third consecutive. She also won Best Pop and Artist of the Year that night.
