Stephen Curry says he was experiencing blurred and distorted vision around 2018, during the Warriors’ peak, before learning he had keratoconus, a corneal condition. He now wears contacts and gets eye checks every six months.
Curry said he had not realized his vision was abnormal, describing blurred or distorted images as simply how he saw things, and said “we compensated around it.” He described keratoconus as progressive, with vision able to deteriorate over time, and said it could be irreversible if it progressed in the wrong direction.
Curry also said he worked with professionals to keep his eye problems from causing anxiety.
