Stephen A. Smith said Donald Trump could use his expected attendance at Saturday’s Texas-Tennessee game to promote the Protect College Sports Act, but reports say he is not expected to appear on ESPN’s College GameDay broadcast in Knoxville.
The bill addresses student-athlete eligibility, transfers and compensation. On Mad Dog Sports Radio, Smith said he would not be surprised by a GameDay appearance, but argued the president should not take sides, saying such involvement would favor the NCAA and be unfair to student-athletes.
