The Arizona Cardinals placed cornerback Will Johnson on injured reserve and signed cornerback Starling Thomas V from the practice squad to the active roster, the team announced. The Cardinals also signed defensive lineman Jay Toia to the practice squad.
Toia, a 6-foot-2, 340-pound defensive lineman, played five games for Dallas last season and recorded four tackles. A seventh-round pick (217th overall) in the 2025 NFL Draft out of UCLA, he had 25 tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack in 12 starts as a senior in 2024, earning honorable mention All-Big Ten. He will wear No. 92.
