Brandt Snedeker said Scottie Scheffler took being left out of Saturday’s Presidents Cup lineup in stride. TV staff informed Scheffler before Snedeker could speak to him; Snedeker wanted him rested and treated ahead of Sunday’s singles against Nico Echavarria.
The International Team led 8.5–5.5 before the afternoon session and kept a three-point lead heading into Sunday’s singles after winning two of the four matches. Scheffler had won two of his three matches; Data Golf showed he lost 2.89 strokes with his approach play on Saturday morning.
