Reading drew 2-2 at Wycombe on Saturday after Danny Ings equalized in the 90th minute, cancelling Jacob Brown’s late goal. Manager Leam Richardson said the result “feels like a defeat,” saying his side must cut out lapses after twice taking the lead.
Paudie O’Connor put Reading ahead early in the second half, and Brown restored the lead with 10 minutes remaining after Jayden Wareham’s equalizer. Richardson said Reading had a one-on-one chance to make it 2-0 but failed to convert; he also said they recorded 20-plus shots.
Richardson said George Earthy will miss a few weeks with a torn plantar fascia, but the full extent is not yet known. Jack Marriott also rocked his ankle and was withdrawn as a precaution after staff monitored him for five or 10 minutes.
