Skip Bayless called the Packers “inept,” “incompetent” and “pathetic” after their 35-14 home loss to Atlanta left them 1-2 and last in the NFC North. On ESPN’s First Take, he said he could make the case Green Bay was playing the NFL’s worst football.
Through three games, Green Bay is averaging 18.7 points and allowing 30.3 per game; its 48.7 rushing yards per game rank last in the NFL. Against Atlanta, the Packers had 17 rushing yards, while Bijan Robinson ran for 194 and the Falcons totaled 242. Jordan Love completed 28 of 53 passes for 312 yards, much of it after the game had effectively slipped away.
The defeat ended Green Bay’s 13-game winning streak in home openers and was its first home-opener loss since 2013. The Packers have lost seven of their last eight games dating to last season and are scheduled to visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 4.
