Seattle elevated practice-squad safety Maxen Hook for its Week 3 game against Washington, with Julian Love (calf) and Ty Okada (hamstring) out. Nick Emmanwori is still working back from offseason ankle surgery, and Rodney Thomas is likely to start for a third straight week.
Thomas joined Seattle in free agency this offseason, spent the first two weeks on its practice squad and was added to the active roster Wednesday. Hook, undrafted out of Toledo in 2025, signed with Philadelphia but did not make its roster out of training camp before joining Seattle’s practice squad in October.
Seattle also elevated running back Velus Jones, adding depth in the backfield and on special teams.
