The Carolina Hurricanes signed goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov to a two-year contract worth $7.9 million, the club reported. He is set to receive $2.4 million plus a $1.5 million signing bonus in 2027-28, followed by $3 million and a $1 million bonus in 2028-29.
Kochetkov missed most of last season with a lower-body injury and appeared in nine games, posting a 2.33 goals-against average and a .899 save percentage. Across 125 regular-season games with Carolina, he has a .905 save percentage; in 10 playoff games, his goals-against average was 3.83 and his save percentage was .860. He won the 2026 Stanley Cup with the Hurricanes.
