Gias Foods recalled two lots of frozen Bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine sold at Walmart nationwide over possible Listeria contamination. The company reports no linked illnesses and says buyers can return affected packages for a full refund.
The affected 22-ounce packages carry UPC 194346442706. Lot L6079C has a Sept. 19, 2027, expiration date; lot L6080C expires Sept. 20, 2027. The lot number and expiration date are stamped on the back. The recall followed routine sampling by agriculture departments in Washington state and Florida. Gias Foods has stopped distribution while it and the FDA investigate the possible contamination.
The recall announcement says Listeria can cause serious, sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, older adults and people with weakened immune systems, and can cause miscarriages or stillbirths in pregnant women.
