Two unidentified people brought a suitcase to a Wichita fire station on Sept. 16 and said it held a body; police found missing 67-year-old Lorretta Moody inside. Detectives are treating her death as a homicide, but no arrests have been made.
Police questioned the two people and are trying to determine whether they had any connection to Moody and how her remains came to the station. Her body was sent to the county medical examiner for an autopsy to help determine how she died.
