Penguins put Caleb Jones on waivers with an AHL move planned

Pittsburgh placed Caleb Jones on waivers Saturday, intending to reassign him to the AHL. He remains under contract after serving a 20-game unpaid suspension in February 2026 following a positive drug test under the NHL/NHLPA Performance Enhancing Substances Program.

Jones signed a two-year, $1.8 million contract with Pittsburgh in July 2025. He played seven games for the Penguins last season, recording one assist, and has appeared in 13 NHL games over the past two seasons for Pittsburgh and Los Angeles.
