Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith became the school’s first wideout to reach 3,000 career receiving yards during Saturday’s game against Illinois. He had six catches for 132 yards, with two first-quarter touchdowns and a third in the second.
Smith entered the game with 21 catches for 400 yards and three touchdowns through Ohio State’s three previous games. He had recorded 1,000-yard seasons in both 2024 and 2025.
A win would move Ohio State’s overall record to 3-1; its next game is against Iowa next Saturday.
