Bengals coach Zac Taylor said Steelers defensive coordinator Patrick Graham impressed him in an interview for Cincinnati’s defensive coordinator job after Lou Anarumo was fired following the 2024 season. Taylor hired Al Golden for the role in 2025.
Taylor told Bengals.com that Graham’s scheme and the problems it poses for opponents impressed him; he also said their meeting raised his already high opinion of Graham. Graham had a 2-1 record in three games against Cincinnati.
Ahead of Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh, the 2-0 Bengals and Steelers had each allowed 33 points through two games. Seven of Cincinnati’s points came on a Joe Burrow pick-six.
